Se remoja unos minutos un poco de arroz y se fríe en una sarten, aparte en una cazuela se frie jitomate molido en crudo con un ajo y un pedacito de cebolla, se le agrega caldo colado, el arroz, sal si le hace falta, una ramita de perejil y garbanza que ya se tendrá remojada desde la vispera, y antes de ponerla en la sopa se le habrá dado un hervor para poderla pelar pues debe ponerse ya pelada. Se deja hervir teniendo mucho cuidado de no dejarla mucho tiempo para que no se bata el arroz.
